KPMG has appointed Yezdi Nagporewalla as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for India region. His term will commence from February 7, 2022 and end on December 31, 2026.
He was nominated by the KPMG India Board and approved by the India Partners. The firm executed a well-defined governance process for the selection of the CEO to ensure that they have only the best at the helm of the company.
Nagporewalla succeeds Arun M. Kumar, the current Chairman and CEO who completes his five-year term on February 6, 2022.
On Nagporewalla’s appointment, Bill Thomas, Global Chairman and CEO, KPMG said “Yezdi’s deep understanding of our business in the Indian market, proven track record serving clients undergoing complex change, and strong leadership skills make him the clear choice to lead the India firm. He is an inclusive leader who inspires trusted relationships at the highest levels of our clients and stakeholders.”

Nagporewalla has been with the India Firm for over 21 years. His key areas of experience include, but are not limited to, manufacturing, infrastructure & construction. Yezdi earlier headed Industrial Markets and Automotive as a sector head. He has been a member of KPMG’s Global Automotive Steering Committee with KPMG. He has previously served as a member of the KPMG India board for 6 years.
Nagporewalla has also been a member of the National Committee of Logistics at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and a member of the Managing Committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce.
